Welcome to our annual events page. Homer has several things going on all through out the year. Some events happen once a year and some are schedualed for several times during the year.
The annual Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival celebrates the spring and the migration of over 25 species of shorebirds to the Kachemak Bay. It takes place in the beginning of May each year, and there is a theme set up for the festival.
Naturalists, speakers, and guides are present for
the many activities available. Keynote

The Homer Chamber's Shorebird Site
The annual Concert on the Lawn put
on by the KBBI radio station. Scheduled for mid to late
summer, the Concert on the Lawn is an outdoor
music festival at Hornaday Park in Homer. For more info

The annual Kachemak Bay SeaFest, usually towards the
end of May, combines the
Kayak Festival, Wooden Boat Show, and Seafair
Safety Rodeo into one great weekend. Activities
include classes, workshops, a film night, and

Local galleries host artists all month, but the first friday of each month is celebrated with food and drink, with the artist present.
The Homestead Restaurant offers wine classes each friday during the Spring and Fall. Classes are $25 per person, starts at 6:00 pm, and include 3 wines and appetizers.
Dinners at the Vineyards are five course meals paired with beers or wines. Dinners start at 6:30 pm.
